This week I stared a twitter account along with downloading MyTracks to my phone to assist with recording my training. MyTracks has been great. There’s one area in my neighborhood where it stopped recording,┬ábut it might be related to local hospital blanketing GPS reception… or local broadcasting tower. Twitter on the other hand has been a pain. From wanting to use scientific notation on hyperlinks, website timing out, the phone client crashing, to my forgetfulness to modify the prerecorded message–noting but trouble. Now that I’m aware of several of the pitfalls of twitter, I can avoid the obvious mistakes I’ve been making (disfigured hyperlinks and leaving the default message) and focus on recording and sharing my training. Promise, I will keep these mistakes at a minimum, I just learning what bugs exist and how to avoid them.
